Bird Watching

Some of the largest colonies of sea birds migrate to the Abrolhos each year to breed. The skies are alive with Little Shearwaters, Caspian Terns and keep your eye out for the ever-present White-breasted Sea Eagle. More than 90 species of seabirds have been identified on the Abrolhos group, the nesting birds form an integral part of the environment and a fascinating part of any visit to the area.

Let Jay your friendly skipper of the Rat Patrol, take you to play in his favorite playground the Abrolhos Islands. He has been operating in these waters for the past 28 years and knows them like the back of his hand. Jay can take you to some of the gnarliest surf breaks, the most secret fishing locations, spectacular dive and snorkeling reefs or simply to a deserted beach to soak up the sun.
